Another perfect fit in a culture of bars and cafes where you don’t go for a drink with the express purpose of getting bladdered.
I don’t have stats, but so much business is conducted over a drink. Notaries and architects loaded down with paperwork, sipping beers with clients. Anglo-Saxons will be tutting by now. Salud 🍻
I will be tackling the taboos around booze later in the #OlgaSejeHansen series. There’s quite the list of uncomfortable topics tucked away behind an innocent drink. But I started with one that ranks quite high in the world of taboos. Whatever the first impression, there is no gratuitous action. It’s all about shining lights on characters’ strengths and failings and finding the pros and cons and absurdities of their surroundings and situations. That’s #noir right?
